California
2021
Our Chardonnay opens with citrus fruit, followed by fig and hints of honeysuckle. On the palate, fresh tropical flavors of papaya and mango. Minimal malolactic fermentation helped develop the luscious, round mouth feel while maintaining balanced acidity.
Our Brass Tacks Chardonnay combines the finest attributes from California’s premier wine growing regions. Small lots of Chardonnay were carefully selected from vineyards throughout California, each adding their own unique facet to the final blend. Minimalistic winemaking techniques were used, with a small portion aged in seasoned oak to add dimension. The result is an approachable, fruit-forward wine where classic varietal character and California terroir shine through in every glass.

Chardonnay, one of the classic Burgundian varietals, is also one of the most popular white wines in the world. The tropical notes and lush mouthfeel make Chardonnay a delicious pairing for white sauce pastas, fish, poultry, and mushroom sauces.
2021 season is characterized by the California drought and consistent weather throughout the growing season. The lack of spring rainfall led to early budbreak, lower yields and smaller berries. The growing season was long and consistent, with no major heat spikes. This consistency made for ideal growing conditions. The small clusters developed evenly and were packed full of flavor, resulting in wines that are fruit forward and wonderfully balanced.
