Cabernet Sauvignon

California

2021

A deep, garnet color in the glass. Alluring aromas of red fruit, blackberry greet the nose with hints of clove. On the palate, this luscious wine is rich with layers of red and blackberry fruit framed by nicely integrated oak and soft, round tannins.

Our Brass Tacks Cabernet Sauvignon combines the finest attributes from California's premier wine growing regions. Carefully selected lots of California Cabernet Sauvignon were used for the final wine, each adding their own unique component to the final wine profile. A small portion was aged in seasoned oak, adding dimension to the final blend. These minimalistic winemaking techniques resulted in an approachable, fruit-forward wine where classic varietal character and true California terroir shine through in every glass.

Food Pairings

Known as the king of red wines, Cabernet Sauvignon is one of the classic Bordeaux varietals and a dominant grape found in California. Rich, dark fruit flavors and mellow tannins make California Cabernet Sauvignon an excellent pairing for grilled steak, lamb stews, BBQ ribs, and heavy pasta dishes.

California Grown

2021 season is characterized by the California drought and consistent weather throughout the growing season. The lack of spring rainfall led to early budbreak, lower yields and smaller berries. The growing season was long and consistent, with no major heat spikes. This consistency made for ideal growing conditions. The small clusters developed evenly and were packed full of flavor, resulting in wines that are fruit forward and wonderfully balanced.
